Cortina d'Ampezzo — Dobbiaco (Italy), Sunday 2 June 2013
The Cortina Dobbiaco Run is a very scenic 30k point-to-point race which follows a disused railway track through the Dolomites in northern Italy.
Most of the route is on gravel roads and trails. The first half is uphill (ca. +300m) and the second half is downhill (ca. -300m).
Starting in the upmarket ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Veneto region, competitors run through tunnels, across wooden bridges and past alpine lakes.
The finish line is in the village of Dobbiaco (German: Toblach) in the autonomous province of South Tyrol, where most people speak German as a first language.
In 2012, a record-breaking 3854 runners completed the race. The top finishers were Jaouad Zain (1:37:59) and Eliana Patelli (1:52:57).

Race centre: at the Grand Hotel in Dobbiaco (1 June 2013, 10.00-19.00); at the start in Cortina d'Ampezzo (on the day 7.30-9.00)
