The 'Tek štirih srčnih mož okoli Bohinjskega jezera' takes about 450 runners around Lake Bohinj (Slovene: Bohinjsko jezero), Slovenia's largest lake, situated deep in the Julian Alps.
The route is approximately 12km long. Participants run anticlockwise around the lake, mostly through forests close to the shore.
Most of the route is on gravel and on forest trails, which are rather narrow and rough in parts. The route is gently undulating.
