The Lipno STRC kros is the third of six races of the Salomon Trail Running Cup which is held between May and November at various locations in the Czech Republic.

This year, the route is a very hilly 21km multi-terrain loop.

The event takes place at the Lipno Reservoir (pictured), the largest lake in the country and a popular holiday destination.

The route begins and ends in Lipno nad Vltavou, a largely modern summer and winter sports resort, situated close to a hydroelectric dam across the River Vltava.

Like last year, the race forms part of the ‘Lipno Sport Fest’ which offers a week of sports activities like archery, climbing, cycling, inline-skating, windsurfing, and more.
