The Europalauf in Germany's northernmost state of Schleswig-Holstein draws around 400 runners to the harbour town of Neustadt in Holstein which is situated in a popular summer holiday region in the Bay of Lübeck on the Baltic coast.
Entrants can choose between the half marathon, the 7.5km run, or the 7.5km walk.
The half marathon features a very scenic undulating route on asphalt and gravel roads, cycleways and footpaths along the beach promenade, through farmland, and through the resorts of Pelzerhaken and Rettin.
The 7.5k is out and back on the beach promenade.
