The 10-kilometre Weinstrassenlauf is held on a challenging and very scenic point-to-point course through a wine-producing region near Austria's capital Vienna.

The start is in the village of Pfaffstätten, situated on the edge of the spa town of Baden, approximately 25 kilometres from Vienna's city centre. The finish line is in the town of Mödling, located just 15 kilometres from Vienna.

After the race, participants can use the free bus service to get back to Pfaffstätten.

Last year, around 250 runners took part in the race. The fastest finishers were Daniel Haußner (34:17) and Anabelle Konczer (42:47).
