Bibione (Italy), Tuesday 1 May 2012
A piedi per Bibione is held in the beach resort of Bibione on the northern Adriatic in Italy. The event attracts around 5000 runners and hikers every year.
"On foot through Bibione" is not a race, it's a non-competitive fun run without time-keeping or results lists. It offers the opportunity to explore the beaches, rivers, canals and beautiful scenery of Bibione.
Participants can choose between three distances: 5.5km, 15km, and 22km. They can decide on the course which distance they want to run or walk.
The route is on mixed terrain (roads, trails, footpaths, grass and beach).
Along the course, there are several well-stocked feed stations. The entry fees are very low — 2.50 euros on the day!
