The event will take place in the Great Forest Park, which is home to Debrecen's university.
Over 600 runners took part in last year's first edition of the Rotary Half Marathon in Debrecen, Hungary's second largest city with a population of about 200,000.
In 2012, the event will offer a 42.2km marathon, a 21.1km half marathon, a 10.55km quarter marathon, and a 5-person marathon relay.
The new course is a flat 5275-metre loop. Marathon runners will run eight laps.
The start and finish will be at the athletics track in the Great Forest Park (Nagyerdei park) on the northern edge of the city.
The route runs through the park and residential areas.
In 2011, the half marathon winners were Zsolt Kovács (1:10:54) and Fruzsina Bakonyi (1:25:38).
Remember that the night before the event the clocks jump one hour forward due to the start of 'European Summer Time', so don't be late!
