34th Gorizia Half Marathon 2012

The start and the finish of the Maratonina Città di Gorizia is in the town of Gorizia in the north-east of Italy but almost half of the route runs through Slovenia.
In 2011, over 750 runners took part in this truly international half marathon race.
The route is mildly undulating, certified, traffic-free and very interesting.
Participants run one loop through various parts of Gorizia, a pleasant border town with elegant boulevards and palazzi and a medieval castle on top of a hill.
In Slovenia, the route runs through the towns of Nova Gorica and Šempeter.
