Held in a green valley in a remote corner of Slovenia, the Tek Veronike Deseniške is a lovely small running event which attracts approximately 200 runners every year.

Entrants can choose between the half marathon and the 10k race.

Most of the route is on dirt roads through dense forests around the hamlet of Breg pri Kočevju, situated about three kilometres from the town of Kočevje, which is around 60 kilometres south of Ljubljana.
