Held on a Saturday night in mid-August, the Stinatzer Halbmarathon attracts over 400 runners and nordic walkers from Austria and neighbouring countries, in particular from Hungary and Slovenia.

The route is a 4.2-kilometre loop through the village of Stinatz which is situated amid rolling countryside in the Burgenland, Austria's least populated state.

Entrants can choose between the 4.2km run, the 8.4km race for runners and nordic walkers, or the half marathon. The event also offers a number of children's races.
