La Camignada poi Siè Refuge - "Walk around six Mountain Huts"

La Camignada features a spectacular 30km point-to-point route on mountain trails through the breathtaking Sexten Dolomites in the far north of Italy. One thousand runners and hikers take part in the event each year.

The route is highly challenging. It includes approximately 1300 metres of ascent and 2200 metres of descent. The highest point on the course is at an elevation of over 2500 metres! Fortunately, participants can take their time to enjoy the scenery—the time limit to complete the course stands at 10 hours.

Start is at the Lago di Misurina (1752m), located near the ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Along the course, there are six mountain huts. One of them is the Dreizinnenhütte (pictured) at the famous Three Lavaredo Peaks (Tre Cime, Drei Zinnen). The finish line is in the village of Auronzo di Cadore (864m).

Last year, the fastest finishers were Matteo Piller Hofer (2:44:26) and Jennifer Senik (3:14:22).
