...and along both banks of the River Talvera.

Held simultaneously in more than 40 cities in Italy, the Vivicittà promotes sport per tutti ("sport for everybody"), respect for the environment, peace, and the dialogue between people and cultures.

The Vivicittà in Bolzano-Bozen, capital of Italy's alpine province of Alto Adige-Südtirol, offers a 12km race and a non-competitive 4km fun run.

The start and finish will be on the athletics track of 'Stadio Druso', situated at the junction of two rivers—the Isarco and the Talvera.

The 4km run will be held on roads and cycleways along both banks of the River Talvera. Participants in the 12K race will not only run along the Talvera but also along the River Isarco, as well as through Bolzano's attractive old town with its medieval arcades.

Last year, the event had around 500 participants. The fastest finishers in the 12km race were Gerd Frick (38:59) and Andrea Oberbichler (50:37).
