7th Casino Run Velden 2011

The Casinolauf is held on Austria's National Day (Nationalfeiertag), which is celebrated on October 26th. Approximately 180 adults and 80 children took part in last year's event.
The start and finish are at the casino in the resort of Velden, situated at the western end of the Wörthersee in the province of Carinthia.
The main race is 6.5 kilometres. Participants run five laps of a 1.3km-loop through Velden's town centre and along the lakeside promenade.
It's also possible to take part as a 5-person relay team. Each team member runs one lap.
In 2010, the winners of the 6.5K race were Gernot Hammer (21:05) and Michaela Zwerger (25:34).
