Held one week after the Budapest Marathon, the NATO Partnership Running Festival is another very attractive running event in Hungary's capital Budapest.

Organized by the Budapest Athletic Federation, the race is open to all runners.

Participants choose between the 10K point-to-point race through the city centre, the 10K relay race for teams of two runners, and the 4K run which takes place in the pleasant City Park.

The 10K route runs from Buda (the western part of Budapest) across the River Danube to Pest (the eastern part of the city). Start is at "Bloodfield" (Vérmező), a park located below Castle Hill.

Competitors run across the majestic Chain Bridge (Lánchíd), along Budapest's grandest boulevard (Andrássy út), across the monumental Heroes' Square (Hősök tere), and through the City Park (Városliget).

Over 750 runners took part in last year's event. The top 10K finishers were Balázs Ott (31:56) and Kinga Lauf (39:08).
