The Tek prijateljstva takes place in a beautiful karstic landscape in Slovenia.

Women run 7km, and men run 13km. Both routes are very hilly and mostly on dirt roads through forests and flowery meadows.

Start and finish are in the pretty village of Hotedršica, which is approximately 25km from the famous Postojna Caves and 40km from Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.

Men and women start together but their routes split soon after the start. The routes join again towards the end of the race.

The first half of the course is mainly uphill, the second half downhill. Overall, the men's route climbs about 335 metres, the women's route 200 metres.

In 2010, the winners were Sergeja Lipušček (29:02) and Urban Jereb (47:46).
