The Tek na Vršič is a very scenic 12-kilometre uphill road race in the Julian Alps in Slovenia. The start is in the ski resort of Kranjska Gora (810m). The finish line is on the summit of the Vršič Pass (1611m).

The road features 24 cobbled hairpin turns and offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountain scenery.

Unfortunately, the course will be closed to traffic for 60 minutes only. Last year, just 17 out of 124 runners completed the course in under one hour.

So, once again, most runners will have to put up with at least some cars or motorbikes on the upper parts of the course.

Last year's winners were Boštjan Hrovat (50min 55sec) and Daneja Grandovec (1hr 5min 5sec).
