6th "Cross in the Bilje Hills" 2011

Around 120 athletes of all ages took part in last year's "Cross in the Bilje Hills", which is the first of a series of four cross-country running events in Slovenia's Mediterranean Primorska region.
Held in the beautiful vineyards of the Bilje Hills near the town of Gorizia on the Slovenia-Italy border, the event gives runners the opportunity to test their shape and build up stamina for the coming running season. Competitors run several very hilly loops on grass and dirt trails.
The event comprises the following distances:
- 300m-2km: children
- 4km: juniors (born 1993-1996)
- 6km: men (born 1966 and older); women (born 1992 and older)
- 8km: men (born 1967-1992)
