2nd Scorzè Half Marathon 2011
Scorzè (Italy), Saturday 6 August 2011
A gelato will be very welcome after the race.
This summer night half marathon race in northern Italy follows a flat course around the town of Scorzè which sits on the vast Venetian Plain between the cities of Venice, Treviso and Padua.
The route consists of three laps—at first a short 1.7km loop in the town centre, followed by two longer loops (9.7km each) which take the runners around the ‘San Benedetto’ mineral water plant.
In 2010, Hicham El Barouki of Morocco won the first edition of the race in a time of 1:05:24. His compatriot Siham Laaraichi led the women home in 1:19:58.
