10. Riječki polumaraton 2011
Rijeka (Croatia), Sunday 17 April 2011
With around 400 finishers last year, the Riječki polumaraton is the largest running event on Croatia's coast. Start and finish are in the centre of the industrial port city of Rijeka.
Competitors run out and back to the windsurfing resort of Preluk Bay, passing shipyards and high-rise suburbs. The route is undulating and includes some long ascents but nevertheless many runners have achieved good results in Rijeka.
In 2010, the winners were Lahcen Mokraji of Morocco (1:05:26) and Ana Subotić of Serbia (1:18:06).
