Dresden (Germany), Sunday 20 March 2016
Held in the city centre of Dresden, capital of the Free State of Saxony in eastern Germany, the Citylauf Dresden comprises children's races, a 5k, and a 10k.
The 5k is one lap and the 10k is two laps of a gently-undulating course around Dresden's impressive Altstadt which sits on the left bank of the River Elbe.
In 2015, the 10k race had about 1,700 finishers. Dickson Kurui of Kenya successfully defended his title in a time of 29min 32sec. Germany's Anna Hahner was the fastest woman in a time of 33min 58sec. Around 500 runners took part in the 5k race.
