The 5k and 10k summer night races of the Berliner City-Nacht attract around 10,000 or more runners and inline skaters.

The start and finish are near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the main landmark in the western part of Berlin (pictured).

The course is flat and fast, mostly along the Kurfürstendamm boulevard.

Last year, the fastest 10k finishers were Musa Roba-Kinkal (30min 4sec) and his wife Fate Tola (32min 19sec).
