Rodgau (Germany), Saturday 28 January 2017
Organized by the RLT (Rodgau Lauftreff) running club, the 50km-Ultramarathon is a popular winter ultra marathon race that attracts well over 1,000 entrants.
Participants run ten laps of a mostly-flat 5km-long course through woods and farmland on the edge of Rodgau, a town of 44,000 residents, situated about 25 kilometres from the city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany's state of Hesse (German: Hessen).
Approximately 3km of each lap are run on unpaved roads and 2km on asphalt.
